Schools almost done, the carpenter ants have been BOMBED ( they were living in my wall!!! ICK!!) still have many paintings waiting to be finished but I decided to give the old carpal tunnel syndrome another whack ;) and do a re-root I've been meaning to finished for 6 months a go. Not much done yet , but at least I can sit by the pool to do it.

the custom eyechips for my new girl, she has:
1.red painted stock pink chips
2.glow in the dark brain worm chips
3.stock pink chips with a hand painted skull in one pupil ( took forever to do it that small)
4.clear pink foiled pupa paradise chips
I think I want to swap out the eyelashes, they're not doing anything for me.
well yesterday my FTS came, she has no scalp but thats fine because she is for a custom job. SO I didn't want to saw the head, ...I read up on the hot water method at TIB and heres how it goes:
Remove screws from back, put them in a sandwich bag for safe keeping
Undo spring from the square hole in the back with small crochet hook
Open neck hole enough to remove the body...I personally had to soak her head a tiny bit before I cold get it open wide enough, but sometimes they will fall out pretty easy.
HOT water ( just tap water not boiling water)
wiggle wiggle wiggle
soak

run a bread knife round the seam

POP!
yeah!
Also you can pull out from the back plate don't worry about trying to pull down from the scalp if that make sense to you. surprisingly her eyelashes stayed just fine..not sure that I want to keep them, but at least I have the option.
(Oh look you can see our fibre in the background of these..well at least you know we're "healthy".)
Then it was on to removing the eye mechanism and boggling! these dolls can take an amazing amount of force considering how delicately we play with them.
I have a friend running auctions for these two beauties! I can totally vouch for her I have known her for years and know her even in real life. She take very good care of her dolls, and is very reliable.

After years of wearing wigs Frankie finally has her own hair. I got a ginger scalp that had the flange completely cut off, it's held on her head with white glue & double sided carpet tape. Everything with this doll is revisable at this point. It took me forever to figure out how to get the scalp to stay on without any flange, but because Frankie has been Frankensteined out of bit’s and pieces of broken dolls she has no front to her dome. I was then able to use the carpet tape to hold the front in place while using the white glue to hold the rest of the scalp in place. I used the puchi collective tutorial to cut her bangs, they still need to be trimmed a bit straighter but it looks good to me, next I need to do her lips.
before I go any further I need to send a big shout out to CAT/TINGISHA for all her tutorials on freckels make up etc.
If your looking for inspiration and a peson who ahppliy lets you know how to do stuff There is no one better than CAT!
Here's whats going on with ginger now!
