This is one in my series of Blythe portraits. I chose this image for this months Nibblefest "Asian Inspired" for two reasons
1) I love the whole Kawaii cute moment in the low brow kitsch art world
and
2) becuase Asian Butterfly was my first Blythe I collected, and will always adore her best of all.
WHY is there a duck in the painting??? Well why not? I like ducks and everyone needs a friend to share the spring cherry blossoms with.Besides ducks don't talk back and they are nice and yellow.
painted on wrapped canvas with the sides painted black there is no need to frame this piece. It's smaller size makes it perfect to display in an apartment, or if your like me on a wall already covered with great art! There's always room for Jello.... and great paintings!

This months Nibblefest 's theme is Christmas Trees. I found this a difficult theme, and decided that while fir trees are beautiful I needed to move in a different direction. I wanted the soft cool crisp feeling of the Christmas morning and the warmth of the surprise that the colour of Christmas brings to the world.
This brought me to this abstracted tree with a single red ball. Is it a Christmas ball? Or is it the last apple some how magically left pristine in the silence of winter waiting for a small animal to find the magnificent present?
Now up on Ebay for NFAC
starts at .99

This is a print of the painting that remains in my personal collection. It was featured in the book "Big Eye art Transformed & Resurrected" by Blonde Blythe ( Toni Boozer)

Oh how I love feed back. The Pez Buyer left me feed back.
"Item arrived in decent time" WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??? ROFLMAO.
I emailed all my buyer telling them I had a family crisis and HOPED I
would get the time off by the Thurs after the auction. This was during
the Joan might be dying in hospital phase of this month. I did manage
to get them out by the Thurs. Emailed them that their item had been
sent airmail, and thanked them for their bid(s). I mailed them airmail
at my own expense I had only charged them for surface mail AND the
freaking dollar fluctuation keeps loosing me money. I swear I'm almost
done with ebay. I hate this shit. Thats such an almost
complaint it looks bad and there was no reason. I packed that thing SO
well, made sure it got out on time, payed extra so that it got there
fast and I still get a backhanded comment.
feel free to pop on by and view this auction or any of my vintage toys that are up right now, more to come this week as I have a huge summer clear out.

Hey gang it’s that time again. Nibbelfest starts tonight ( March 20th,2008) night at 7pm EST. Just in time for spring or at least the hope of spring this month’s theme is the "Secret Garden."
All items will start at .99! It’s a great way to collect art from both emerging and established artist. Sear NFAC on ebay to see all the amazing entries.
My entry this month is based on a photograph I took of my daughter playing at the frog pond while wearing her fairy wings. It just looked so idyllic I needed to make her into a fairy.
This is an 8 x 10 oil on canvas original painting. Not a print. It should be framed.
I would also like to announce that I will be having an ART SALE on ebay at the same time. I have been holding back paintings for a few months now, for a Show, but will be releasing some of them at special lower starting prices! So please feel free to check out my other auctions as well!
Thanks again for taking the time to read this, and
HAPPY SPRING!
