Schools almost done, the carpenter ants have been BOMBED ( they were living in my wall!!! ICK!!) still have many paintings waiting to be finished but I decided to give the old carpal tunnel syndrome another whack ;) and do a re-root I've been meaning to finished for 6 months a go. Not much done yet , but at least I can sit by the pool to do it.
A quick little mini film showing photos of all the Takara Blythe dolls that I have customized over the year. Enjoy
visti them at http://blythespa.com/ or http://noellehunt.com/
I have spent the past week revamping my Blythe customization site, so here it is in all it's cyber glory. Hopefully most of the kinks have been worked out although I'm sure there's a still a few problems, please feel free to PM or email me with anything you find wrong.
I am looking for reciprocal links so if anyone would like to be linked to me please just let me know, I will be updating it on a regular basis.
My 75$ re-root special is still going on until Sept. although spaces are starting to fill up!
well yes... I decided to buy some space and also to buy my domain name ..meaning my name I 've had "wickeddollz.com" for ages, but I decided to get "noellehunt.com" too
then I started playing with templates and THEN decided to try working on my blythe site too
so I have spent the day figuring out Dreamweaver, and how he feck to upload to my webspace etc. and mostly I have a pretty goo d thing going.
the Blythe Spa site needs to be finished up but at least whats done looks good LOL
you can find my new and improved art site here wickedddollz.com and hopefully here soon noellehunt.com although that may take you to my old site for a while yet.
you can see the not really done version of the blythe spa here Blythespa.com
but that sites really not finished and you'll find lots of dead ends etc. look like it's going to be cool though.
my back hurt and my house is a mess I really need to do something other than web pages for a bit LOL
She's up if anyone is interested.:) I reduced her BIN to 225 from 250. She really is a lovely doll and I am sad to sell her she's become such a part of the family.
I'm still working on my next custom girl and trying not to become attached!!! eek
the custom eyechips for my new girl, she has:
1.red painted stock pink chips
2.glow in the dark brain worm chips
3.stock pink chips with a hand painted skull in one pupil ( took forever to do it that small)
4.clear pink foiled pupa paradise chips
I think I want to swap out the eyelashes, they're not doing anything for me.
well yesterday my FTS came, she has no scalp but thats fine because she is for a custom job. SO I didn't want to saw the head, ...I read up on the hot water method at TIB and heres how it goes:
Remove screws from back, put them in a sandwich bag for safe keeping
Undo spring from the square hole in the back with small crochet hook
Open neck hole enough to remove the body...I personally had to soak her head a tiny bit before I cold get it open wide enough, but sometimes they will fall out pretty easy.
HOT water ( just tap water not boiling water)
wiggle wiggle wiggle
soak

run a bread knife round the seam

POP!
yeah!
Also you can pull out from the back plate don't worry about trying to pull down from the scalp if that make sense to you. surprisingly her eyelashes stayed just fine..not sure that I want to keep them, but at least I have the option.
(Oh look you can see our fibre in the background of these..well at least you know we're "healthy".)
Then it was on to removing the eye mechanism and boggling! these dolls can take an amazing amount of force considering how delicately we play with them.
