Oohh! Good color choice! I'd have to agree with you on the smudgier comment - but I think it's looking fantastic :)

Of course you know I love red and black. =D

Have you tried just mixing the pastels with varnish? (ie liquitex varnish).
It's what I use for nude/realistic lips but you can also apply it to eyeshadow by gradual layering and slight gradations.

well I'm trying some paint now, not sure but I might have to pull her all apart again and start fresh, fortunately I don't have her scalp yet so, it's just the pain of prying the eyes in and out.sigh LOL
